Tim and Jane Lawrence have been parishioners here for the last eight years.  Married since 1989, they are the parents of one fine son, Jason.  Tim was raised in a devout Catholic family in McSherrystown, Pennsylvania.  That Catholic upbringing was undoubtedly a background to his ministries as an adult.  He has been with the Knights of Columbus Council 13043 for over four years, and served as Council Treasurer for two of those years.  He has coordinated a blanket drive for homeless men and women, collecting over 250 blankets that were distributed through Catholic Charities.  Tim’s also participated at Mary’s Table, an organization founded to feed the poor and homeless.  Jane, on the other hand, comes from a Protestant background where she spent several years as a Sunday School teacher at the kindergarten, third grade, and sixth grade levels.  In the year 2000, she answered a call to the Catholic faith and received her sacraments at the Easter Vigil three years later.  She is currently enrolled in the Ministry Formation Program through the Formation Institute of the San Bernardino Diocese as well as a three-year certificate course in Bible Studies at Loyola Marymount University.  Together Tim and Jane are both RCIA sponsors as well as RCIA Team Members.   Reflecting their personal faith journeys, Tim and Jane say that their greatest hope for this parish is that new Catholics as well as Cradle Catholics will discover how truly wonderful the Catholic faith is – that they embrace their faith and answer God’s call to ministry.
