Scott Norton

Scott Norton converted to the Catholic faith when he was 19 years old, and went through the RCIA process in his home town of Wenatchee, Washington.  He went to Franciscan University in Ohio and moved to California in 2001.  He has been teaching for 6 years and he has spent the past 4 years teaching 7th grade Language Arts and Social Studies at Day Creek Intermediate School.  He is also involved in local theater and helping with after school musicals at Day Creek.

The Life Teen programs and ministries have been a passion for Scott for many years; in fact, he has been involved with them since his conversion to Catholicism in all the parishes he’s been in.  At St. Peter & St. Paul, Scott has been a part of the Life Teen 5:00 pm Sunday Mass Choir for 5 years and the Choir Director for the past 4 years, he has helped with the Life Teen program for 3 years and assisted with RCIA for Teens for 2 years.  At one point, Scott served as the Youth Ministry/Confirmation secretary.

Scott’s greatest hope for our parish is “that our parish is a beacon of light for those who are lost or lonely, and that all feel welcomed and loved at St. Peter & St. Paul.”
